Corporate Wellness in Singapore: NovaHealth TCM at SAP’s Wellness Event

Corporate wellness is most useful when it gives employees a practical, low-pressure way to pause, ask questions and understand what may be appropriate for them. NovaHealth TCM Clinic (新医馆) was pleased to join SAP Singapore for a workplace wellness event, bringing onsite TCM activities and individual conversations into the working day.

Thank you to SAP Singapore for the invitation and for creating space for employees to meet our practitioners.

What could employees explore at the event?

The event featured three activities:

TCM manual and bone-setting techniques: An introduction to hands-on approaches used in TCM. Practitioners considered individual suitability before any session proceeded.

Onsite Tuina: Short sessions introducing employees to traditional Chinese manual therapy, adapted to individual comfort and suitability.

TCM physician consultations: One-to-one conversations where employees could raise health concerns, ask questions and discuss whether further assessment or another form of care might be appropriate.

Together, these activities offered an accessible introduction to TCM in a familiar workplace setting. Participation in a wellness event is not a substitute for diagnosis or ongoing care, and not every activity is suitable for every person.

Why bring TCM into a corporate wellness event?

A corporate wellness event can make it easier for employees to begin a health conversation without first navigating a clinic visit. The value is not in promising an immediate result. It is in providing a convenient opportunity to learn, ask questions and understand when a proper assessment may be useful.

For NovaHealth TCM, workplace wellness is also about making TCM information approachable. Direct interaction gives employees a chance to understand what TCM Tuina, physician consultation and manual techniques involve, as well as their limitations.

What should a responsible workplace TCM activity include?

A thoughtfully planned event should include:

  • Voluntary participation and clear explanations of each activity

  • An individual suitability check before hands-on techniques

  • Appropriate privacy for personal health conversations

  • Clear limits on what can be assessed or provided in an event setting

  • Referral for further medical or TCM assessment when an onsite activity is not appropriate

The format should also be adapted to the organisation’s workforce, venue, schedule and objectives rather than treating every workplace in the same way.

Thank you, SAP Singapore!

We appreciate the SAP organisers and everyone who took time to participate. It was a pleasure to share our practice and hear employees’ questions.

NovaHealth TCM supports corporate wellness events in Singapore through onsite Tuina, TCM physician consultations and suitability-led activities tailored to the organisation and event setting.
